Online Copy Requests

If you know the case number ....
The online system allows you to request request ’plain’ (non-certified) and certified copies of documents and minute orders that are not confidential and are available to the public.

Several options are available for processing and delivery of document copies ordered through the Court's Online Copy Request system:

  • Email Delivery Option
    • ONLY available when ordering 'plain' (non-certified) copies of documents and/or minute orders.
    • Postage fees are waived.
    • Order processed and documents delivered within 5 minutes to your email address.

  • Regular First Class Mail Delivery Option
    • Available when ordering certified and/or 'plain' copies of documents and/or minute orders.
    • Postage fees apply.
    • Processed within 5 business days and allow another 7-10 days for mail delivery.

You may submit an online request to have the Court conduct a search for the record.

A fee of $15.00* will be charged [per GC §70627(c)] and can take approximately 15 business days to process.

Civil, Small Claims, Unlawful Detainers (Eviction)

  • Certified copies of documents or minute orders for civil cases must be purchased using the Online Copy Request system.
  • Non-certified copies of civil case documents and minute orders must be purchased on the Public Access site. California Rules of Court 2.500 - 2.507 allows non-certified documents for Civil cases only to be instantly available via the internet. Copies ordered through the Court’s Public Access site are instantly available via the internet for both viewing and printing once payment has been submitted.

Family Law *

  • Both certified and non-certified copies of documents or minute orders for Family Law cases must be purchased using the Online Copy Request system.

*Paternity and Adoption cases are not available on-line. These case types are confidential and information/copies can only be provided to the parties listed on the case. To request copies from an adoption or paternity case, you must come into the Court and show picture identification. Family Law Court locations.

Criminal & Traffic

  • Both certified and non-certified copies of documents or minute orders for Criminal and Traffic cases must be purchased using the Online Copy Request system.

Juvenile

  • Juvenile cases are confidential and are not available online. For more information, visit the Juvenile Division.

Exemplifications cannot be requested online.

To request an exemplified copy of a record or document, please fill out form

and mail the completed form to the appropriate Courthouse.

Your request could take up to 15 days to process.

Information Regarding Purged Records

If you cannot find the court record you are searching for, it may be because it has been removed from the database. The Riverside Superior Court routinely purges court records pursuant to Government Code Section 68152..
