Vehicle code infractions, municipal code violations, and county ordinances are heard in Traffic Court.

An infraction is punishable by a maximum fine of $250.00 plus assessments and fees and is not punishable by imprisonment. A person charged with an infraction is not entitled to a trial by jury or entitled to be represented by court-appointed counsel at public expense, unless the person is held in custody and not released on his/her written promise to appear, own recognizance, or by depositing bail.
