Palm Springs Jury Parking

Directions

The Palm Springs Courthouse is located at 3255 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way in Palm Springs.

Take I-10 to Bob Hope Dr. Go southwest on Bob Hope Dr. Turn right at Ramon Rd. Turn right at S. El Cielo Rd. Turn left into parking lot at the intersection of S. El Cielo Rd and E. Tahquitz Canyon Way.

Parking

Jurors may park in the parking lot located in front of the Superior Court building. You must place the parking permit provided with your summons on the dashboard of your vehicle to avoid a parking citation.

Bus Service

All jurors summoned to serve at the Palm Springs Courthouse are able to ride free of charge on all Sunline Buses to and from court by showing their juror badge or summons to the bus driver.

Building Accommodations:

The main entrance is located in front of the building on E. Tahquitz Canyon Way. The wheelchair accessible entry is equipped with a handicapped activation button and a wheelchair ramp is located to the right of the entrance.

All individuals seeking entrance to the facility must pass through security screening which includes a metal detector (magnetometer). The screening device can accommodate a wheelchair of average size. Individuals with pacemakers or cochlear implants may request screening via a hand held wand from security screening personnel.

Public restrooms located on the first or ground floor have wheelchair accessible stalls and sinks.

A wheelchair accessible drinking fountain is located on the main floor near the entrance.

Smoke detectors and fire alarm systems are equipped with strobe lights.

Courtroom Accommodations:

The Palm Springs Court is a two-level building, which houses Departments PS1, PS2, and PS3. Each courtroom has wheelchair accessible counsel tables, jury boxes and witness stands. Wheelchair seating areas are located in the audience section of each courtroom. Three jury deliberation rooms are also wheelchair accessible.

Assistive listening devices are available for hearing-disabled individuals. Individuals anticipating the need to use hearing assisted devices are requested to notify the ADA Coordinator’s Office by completing Judicial Council Form MC 410 and submitting the form to the Court's Human Resource Department as far in advance of the court date as possible and in any event no less than five (5) court days prior to the hearing.

If a printed transcript of a court hearing is required, please make arrangements to purchase one from the court reporter.

Individuals in need of sign language interpreters may request assistance through the Court's Human Resource Department. Individuals may request Computer Assisted Real-Time Transcription or CART assistance through the ADA Coordinator’s Office by submitting Judicial Council Form MC 410 to the ADA Coordinator in as far advance of the court date as possible and in any event no less than five (5) court days prior to the hearing. Generally, sign language interpreters and CART reporters are provided to facilitate a hearing disabled individual's participation in court proceedings, but they may be permitted to accompany an individual at other times to facilitate communication in court matters.

Clerk’s Office Accommodations:

The clerk’s office located on the main floor of the lobby has a lowered area of counter space that can be accessed by customers in wheelchairs. A speech-generating device (NEO Text2Speech) is available upon request at any customer service window. Magnification devices are also available upon request to facilitate reading smaller print on court forms.
