Riverside Hall of Justice Jury Parking

Directions

The Riverside Hall of Justice is located at 4100 Main Street, Room 209, second floor in Riverside.

Take CA-91 to 14th Street. Go west on 14th Street. Go north on Main Street. The courthouse is on the east side.

Juror Entrance

This is the PRIMARY JUROR ENTRANCE.

Please use the designated juror entrance on the 12th Street side of the courthouse.

Parking

Please detach the Juror Parking Permit from your summons and display it on your vehicle dashboard when parking in all authorized juror parking lots.

The following information applies to jurors reporting for service at the Hall of Justice in Riverside:

Maps and directions for available juror parking in the downtown area are printed on your summons. Please be aware that designated juror parking spaces fill up quickly.

3535 12th Street Parking Structure Sworn Juror Main Parking

This structure is reserved for sworn/alternate jurors who have been assigned to a jury trial. The 12th Street Parking Structure has limited free juror parking passes available. A special courtroom issued permit is also required to park at this structure. Entrance is on 12th St. If you are not issued a “PLASTIC JURY PASS” by the attendant at the gate, you may park in the structure and pay regular parking fees or you may park free in one of the alternate locations.

Please Note: If entering through the Lemon St. entrance, you can obtain a "PLASTIC JURY PASS" from the 12th St. attendant, if passes remain available.

12th and Main Juror Parking Lot

Entrances are on 12th St. and Main St. Please detach the Juror Parking Permit from your summons and display it on your vehicle dashboard when parking in the authorized juror parking lots.

13th and Main Juror Parking Lot

Entrances are on 13th St. Please detach the Juror Parking Permit from your summons and display it on your vehicle dashboard when parking in the authorized juror parking lots.

Calvary Presbyterian Church Juror Parking Lot

Located at 4495 Magnolia Ave. Corner of Magnolia and 15th St./Community Hospital. At signal light, turn west into Community Hospital and then turn left. Follow along side wall of church through the archway, and park behind the church. Walk to the "Route 50" bus stop near the corner of 14th St. and Magnolia Ave. A shuttle stops every 25 minutes. Use lot Monday through Thursday.

Eden Lutheran Church Juror Parking Lot

Located at 4725 Brockton Ave. Turn southeast at the 14th St. and Brockton Ave. signal light. Go past signal light at Tequesquite Ave. Turn west at the sign “Juror Parking” into church lot across from Rice Rd. A shuttle stops in the lot every 25 minutes. Use lot Monday through Thursday.

The jury shuttle does not run on Fridays.

Bus Service

All jurors summoned to serve at the Riverside Courthouse are able to ride free of charge on RTA (Riverside Transit Agency) buses by showing their juror summons badge to the bus driver.

Building Accommodations:

Entrances to the building are located on Eleventh Street (Palm Court) and Twelfth Street, and are accessible from the wheelchair ramp located on the north side of the building on Main Street.

All individuals seeking entrance to the facility must pass through security screening which includes a metal detector (magnetometers). Screening devices can accommodate wheelchairs of average size. Individuals with pacemakers or cochlear implants may request screening via a hand held wand from security screening personnel.

Public restrooms are located on the second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth floors of the building and can be accessed by using one of the four public elevators located in the lobby. Restroom doors are not equipped with handicapped door activation buttons, but all restrooms have wheelchair accessible stalls and sinks.

A wheelchair accessible drinking fountain is located on the second floor of the building in a hallway near the elevators.

Smoke detectors and fire alarm systems are equipped with strobe lights.

Elevator cabs are equipped with Braille signage and emergency call features to accommodate those with sight or hearing disabilities.

Courtroom Accommodations:

The Hall of Justice is situated in downtown Riverside, across from the Riverside Historic Courthouse. The Hall of Justice houses 21 criminal courtrooms, all of which are wheelchair accessible. Handicapped door activation buttons are located on courtroom doors. Two wheelchair accessible jury deliberation rooms, each with its own accessible, private restroom, are located on the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth floors. Four public elevators are located in the first floor lobby area. The Jury Assembly Room is located on the second floor.

Assistive listening devices are available for hearing-disabled individuals. Individuals anticipating the need to use hearing assisted devices are requested to notify the ADA Coordinator’s Office by completing Judicial Council Form MC 410 and submitting the form to the Court's Human Resource Department as far in advance of the court date as possible and in any event no less than five (5) court days prior to the hearing.

If a printed transcript of a court hearing is required, please make arrangements to purchase one from the court reporter.

Individuals in need of sign language interpreters may request assistance through the Court's Human Resource Department. Individuals may request Computer Assisted Real-Time Transcription or CART assistance through the ADA Coordinator’s Office by submitting Judicial Council Form MC 410 to the ADA Coordinator in as far advance of the court date as possible and in any event no less than five (5) court days prior to the hearing. Generally, sign language interpreters and CART reporters are provided to facilitate a hearing disabled individual's participation in court proceedings, but they may be permitted to accompany an individual at other times to facilitate communication in court matters.

Clerk’s Office Accommodations:

The clerk’s office is located on the first floor of the building. One area of the customer service counter is lowered for access by customers in wheelchairs. A speech-generating device (NEO Text2Speech) is available upon request at any customer service window. Magnification devices are also available upon request to help customers read smaller print on court forms and fill out forms.
