Riverside County Civil Grand Jury Selected for Fiscal Year 2026-2027

Newly selected members of the fiscal year 2026-2027 Riverside County Civil Grand Jury are sworn in by Riverside Superior Court Presiding Judge Jacqueline C. Jackson during a public ceremony in the Historic Courthouse in Riverside on Friday, June 26.

On June 26, 2026, the members and alternate members of the fiscal year 2026-2027 Riverside County Civil Grand Jury were selected during a public drawing held in Department 1 of the Historic Courthouse in Riverside. 

The Riverside Superior Court conducted an extensive recruitment effort to encourage community participation in the Civil Grand Jury process.  Recruitment activities included notices published in local newspapers, informational postings in city and county offices throughout Riverside County, and announcements on the Court’s website.

The Court received a total of 68 applications, and 50 applicants participated in interviews as part of the selection process.

The newly selected Civil Grand Jury members commenced orientation and training on June 29, 2026, and will begin their one-year term of service on July 1, 2026.

The Riverside County Civil Grand Jury serves as an independent body charged with investigating and reporting on the operations of local government agencies, special districts, and other public entities within Riverside County.  The Civil Grand Jury plays an important role in promoting transparency, accountability, and efficiency in local government.
